Delyn and I have been friends for around 10 years. In short she is hilarious, generous, organised, thoughtful and quite frankly crackers. I love her to bits and this is why…

…because of her love for little black cats…

…because of the time we missed the bus home…

…because of ‘Metalmass’…

…because of all the New Years Eve’s we spent in her Momma’s kitchen…

… because of her obsession with Melman…

…because of the time she visited me in Leeds and I cried when she went home…...because of her obsession with Alex the meerkat…

...because of the time we went to St Ives…

…’cause she’s gangsta yo!...

… because of the old days…

…because of the even older ‘hair scrunchie’ days…

…because of the ‘Art Room’ antics…

…because of the time we went to London for my birthday and ate cake…

…’cause of her fly moves…

…because of the time we went to Ed’s…

...because of ‘Monday Club’…
…because of the photo booth times…

…because she lets us ambush her…

…because she used to send me the photographs she took when I was in university…

…because she likes to dress up as a pirate…

…a lot…

…because of the ‘make-over’ incident…

…because she’s the best friend anyone could ever have...

Where's the Beef, Delatron?! Pt 1: Words courtesy of Kimberley Harris

Delyn has asked me to write a few words to help introduce the world to the girl we know and love.

Several critics write off ‘blogging’ as a self obsessed, pointless waste of time- but when your friends develop extremely busy lives, it can serve as a vital tool for keeping in touch. I’ve learnt more about Rhi (http://the-mixxture.blogspot.com/) in the last year than I have in the last five.

So here it is:
There are very few people in this world that I would quantify amongst my ‘best friends’, the fact is; even though I have lots of ‘friends’, most people annoy the hell out of me. We can spend months apart, but within three minutes of catching up its like old times and when I say ‘old times’, I’m referring to the art room antics of four extremely nerdy teenagers. A shared love for creativity is a bond that never will be broken.

So what are Delyn’s other qualities?
First and foremost, It is rare in this world to find anyone that can truly be described as selfless and if I were to nominate anyone of my friends for this title; it would have to be Delyn. She’ll do absolutely anything for you.

'Totally unique', she never puts out any pretense and what you see is definitely what you get.

‘The sensible one’. She’ll undoubtedly hate me for saying it, but she’s one of the most organised and most reliable people I know.

'A comedian'.

..... and finally, the polar opposite of me, but that seems to make for a solid friendship.

One of the things that has made me smile the most over the past year, is that Delyn has fought through some bad times and re-emerged to join me and Rhi on our routine Sunday outings, more formally known as ‘Sunday Club’.  

Never fall off the radar again! because we both missed you!

Happy New Blog!

Well by popular demand (bullying & shame) I have landed!

Starting a blog can finally be ticked off my uber long list of New Year’s resolutions, which hopefully, I’ll stick to along with the rest of them. I have been a huge fan of my friend’s blogs for a long time. Rhi aka Rhi Mix who publishes “The Mixxture” here on blogspot and Kim aka Jane Doe who publishes on Tumbulr. I always look forward to getting my weekly fix, reading their thoughts and shenanigans which always brings a smile to my face. I feel the word stalking is a tad harsh, however technically this is what I do and I loves it!

I’m not too sure how the tone or layout of my blog is going to manifest, but I am a perfectionist and I’m sure that once I have found and adopted a style my blog will flow beautifully. I hope to ‘steal’ a few ideas along the way from my friends blogs, but obviously it will all be in my one of a kind uniqueness.

I’ve asked my best friend Rhi to lovingly design a banner/image for this blog as I love her dearly and she’s amazing at all things creative. Her blog is “the shit” with insightful musings of her life and fabulous photos to match. This will come sometime in the future as she is a very busy bee, deep in the archives of the Gwent Record Office, and not to be disturbed!

Kim lives in Cardiff (on her own which is scary, but I admire her so much) and is a fab architect. Her blog has a very different flavour, and some may wonder how we are friends (haha) however there are pieces she has written that have made my eyes swell with tears. I had no idea how deep a person she is. Love you Kim.

I have asked them both to right a small piece about me and to wish me luck on my bloggers voyage. So I guess I've cheated a little as my first post on this blog has really been written by them.
